Fictional Book Review, The Eight is written by Katherine Neville.
I love to read books and thought I would share this find with you, the intrigued. Don’t let the book cover fool you, this is where the mystery begins. This is by no means a new book, but nevertheless one you could pick up to read time and time again so there should be plenty of used books out there if you fancy a read. The story is intricately written and chapter by chapter the game is played out. The characters are not always what they seem. There is also murder, crime and suspense right until the close of play. The focal character throughout the novel is Catherine Velis and she is often he played like a pawn, in a larger game of chess, by the end she is a significant piece.
Interestingly the story unfolds from two time zones, the past and the present, which adds to yet more puzzles and clues. The book has good a pace, unlike the game of chess and the cryptic clues and conundrums means you are hooked to know more. Who will finally hold all the chess pieces?
